Changing

It seems the only constant in the world is change - and while change takes time, time also brings change. Enough with the deep thoughts for now.

One of the most challenging changes I’ve experienced lately was the moving of our team’s licenses from RE/MAX to Corcoran Reverie. I was affiliated with my former broker for nearly 8 years; I knew most of their systems and resources fluently and as the previous broker for that company, I was comfortable explaining the transition experience to agents that were considering joining my brokerage. Having personally walked through that transition experience from RE/MAX to Corcoran however, I see I could have been better at celebrating the agent and their decision to change companies. When we notified Corcoran Reverie’s owners and leadership team of our decision to change brokerages, it felt like they opened the flood gates - and our team has experienced a deluge of excitement, love, and support. I see now how that deluge is incredibly important. As our team learns new faces, new systems, and new protocols, the support we’ve received has encouraged us and has quickly created a bond between our team and our new leaders.

That all being said, I am more excited about my career than I’ve been in a very long time. The culture of the company with which we are now affiliated exceeds the high expectations I had of Corcoran. Their leadership has invested time, real dollars, and sincere interest in my team’s business…and that just reinforces my belief that the change my team made was the best decision we could have made. Onward and upward…
